We used a fill ratio of 800 because jackets with higher fill ratios perform better for athletes such as hikers, mountaineers and skiers who need lightweight down jackets for mobility and warmth. Thanks to its impressive fill ratio and strategic box-wall construction, this down jacket is the warmest we've ever created, with the exception of the custom jackets we made for the Everest expedition team. Not only does the construction eliminate cold spots, but we've added a down collar and drawcord to keep the cold out.
